ARTWORK
How does your pricing work?
All artwork is limited edition and will never be reproduced once sold out. Pricing is based on the availability and scarcity of artwork. We have an escalating pricing scale, which builds in a price increase as the artwork sells 10% of its edition. Once a specific artwork has reached 10% of the edition sold, the price will increase and will subsequently increase every 10% sold thereafter until sold out. What is a limited edition?
A limited-edition print is produced in a deliberately restricted quantity. The artist decides upfront that only a specific number of a particular print will ever be created. Our artwork is limited to either 100 editions or 300 editions, depending on the specific print. Once that number is reached, the artwork is archived, ensuring no more identical prints can be made. How do I order custom artwork?
All artwork in the collection is available for purchase. Artwork can be produced in numerous sizes, including large-scale options and as giclée prints. We also offer several frames and liners to compliment the art.Our gallery team will work with you to ensure your artwork fits perfectly in your space. We will do our best to work with you should you have a need outside the options we offer on our website. All artwork is signed and numbered.Do you authenticate the artwork?
All artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity. The COA includes a serialized numbered hologram as well as a matching edition number of artwork and artist signature. How should I decide between dye sublimation on aluminum or giclée with acrylic?
This should be decided based on your personal preference. Both media options are of the highest quality and durability
CARE, HANDLING AND DISPLAY
Do you have instructions on how to hang my art?
Depending on the size and/or frame of the artwork, it will come with a cleat system, wire hanging system, or D-rings, which are used for larger pieces. There are many preferred ways to hang your artwork. We recommend OOK brand picture hangers for the wire system or D-rings. French cleats for the cleat system will be included in the box. For wire or D-ring hanging, we also recommend using 100–200lb. hangers, depending on the weight of your artwork. We do not recommend adding wire to a piece withD-rings; frame hangers should be installed on the wall, and the D-rings will attach directly to the hangers. Please contact us for further questions on hanging your artwork at info@modernistcuisinegallery.comWhat mounting fixtures will my art have?
Artwork will have a cleat system, a wire hanging system, or D-rings, depending on the size and/or frame of the artwork selected. Mounting hardware for the cleat system will be included in the box. Wire hangers or D-rings will be attached to the artwork if applicableHow should I light my art?
We recommend LED track lights for art, mounted from above. How do I care for my artwork?
To clean artwork, use a microfiber towel and warm water. Do not over clean and do not use solvents or chemicals such as Windex. If there is sticky residue on the face of the artwork or frame, use a microfiber towel and a 50% distilled vinegar and water mixture. What is the recommended viewing height for artwork?
In general, we recommend hanging artwork so that the center of the artwork is eye level for a person of average height. Your ceiling height and furniture placement should also factor into the placement of your artwork.
